Dru Yoga isn’t the best known of yoga styles, even though it is slowly increasing in name and popularity.
The first time I went to a Dru Yoga class, I fell in love with the combination of flowing sequences, breath and visualisation. By using these three elements, a Dru Yoga class takes you away from your daily life and truly refreshes you. It is an all encompassing experience that really calms the mind and gets the yogi/yogini in the present moment.
The practice of Dru Yoga improves strength and flexibility, builds a feeling of positivity, and deeply relaxes and rejuvenates your whole being. It also has a therapeutic aspect with a proven positive impact on energy level as well as stress and pain reduction.
72 % found Dru Yoga reduced back pain
> 93 % experienced improved spine flexibility
> 86% enjoyed increased energy levels
> 89% experienced improved breathing with yoga
> 89% can now reduce and control stress levels
> 81% have greater confidence and self-empowerment
> 84% benefited from enhanced mood since practising Dru Yoga
> 83% felt emotionally balanced
> 91% gained peace of mind by overcoming negative thinking
Finally, one of my favourite aspects of Dru is its accessibility to all people, regardless of fitness level and age.
